Beware! Be Scared! Is an exciting, imaginative, scary, and cute Halloween story! This story was comical and fascinating to read as an adult! This book is from the perspective of young boy at first overjoyed for Halloween. As the day goes on he increasingly becomes frightened. Houses look like strange creatures in disguise. Leaves blowing in the wind are mistaken for bats. Dogs howling are thought be werewolves. Everywhere the boy turns there is a new a overwhelming danger. He continually asks the reader, "will you run run run or will you hide hide hide? Yes or no you must decide!". The rhyming in this book makes it an exceptionally fun read. I love that the illustrations blend the boys fear with the truth. They add so much to this fun Halloween read!
My favorite thing about this book is the illustrations! The are so adorable and creative!! The style is very unique and fully of cute detail! I love the story too. It isn't too scary for the little kids, but it's so fun and festive! I can't recommend this book enough!!!

This has quickly become a favorite in our halloween book collection! My 20mth old granddaughter says RUN RUN RUN and HIDE HIDE HIDE with me every time we read it. The kids love it! It's scary enough to get them excited without really being scary. Lots of fun.

This book is a perfect way to share the spooky season with your kids! The story is so cute and he illustrations are adorable! I love how the colors change throughout the book, reflecting the spooky aspects of trick-or-treating at a young age. It's fun to find the little black cat on every page and I love how the house becomes more monster-like each time the trick-or-treater is faced with the choice to RUN RUN RUN or HIDE HIDE HIDE! I would definitely recommend this book!!
